Certified EKG Technician Program

This 50-hour self-paced program is designed to prepare the student to become a Certified EKG Technician. Preparation includes classroom/online instruction and supervised laboratory training to match the syllabus from National Health Career Association (NHA) and/or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). Theory classes and laboratory sessions may be held in the classroom/online.

Admission Requirements:

  1. Must be at least 18 years old 
  2. Must possess a valid California ID and Social Security Number
  1. Must have High School Graduation, GED, or higher educational qualification (Optional)
  2. Proof of Professional Liability Insurance and Personal Medical Insurance

Theory classes and laboratory sessions may be held at the College.

Duration: 50 Hours (Theory & Practical)

Program: Day Program: Friday (11:00 AM – 3:00 PM)

Method of Instruction: Classroom/Online/Hybrid & Laboratory

Fees: $1000 ($200 Non-Refundable Registration Plus $800 Tuition)

Other Expenses (For student’s information only): Personal expenses, Books, Uniforms, and other accessories

Graduation Requirements:

  1. Successful completion of 50 hours of training as per the College’s curriculum
  2. Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED First Aid, or Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers

Certification: Upon successful completion of the program, the students acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to operate machines that record the electrical activity of a patient’s heart.

Benefits to obtaining an EKG Technician Certification may include more job opportunities, an increased pay scale, job security, and expanded subject matter expertise. The students may receive a certificate of completion from the College. Also, students who complete the testing may receive a National Health Career Association (NHA) and/or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) Certificate
