Program Highlights
CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant)
A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in healthcare, providing essential daily care to elderly patients in various settings such as hospitals, skill nursing, and assisted care living facilities. CNAs work under the supervision of nurses, helping patients with activities of daily living and ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Our CNA program provides comprehensive training in a variety of crucial areas, preparing you for a rewarding career in patient care. You’ll gain hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge in (not all listed):
- Basic Medical Knowledge: Gaining foundational understanding of human anatomy, common medical conditions, and basic pharmacology.
- Patient Care: Assisting patients with personal hygiene, mobility, feeding, and other daily needs.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measuring and recording temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Communication: Developing effective communication skills to interact with patients, their families, and healthcare team members.
- Safety Procedures: Learning about infection control, fall prevention, and emergency procedures.
- Documentation: Understanding how to accurately document patient observations and care provided.
Program Duration
Our comprehensive CNA program can be completed in 160 hours.
(60 Theory + 100 Clinical)
Certification Obtained
Upon completing the program, the students acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to provide services to residents in the care facilities. The students may receive a certificate of completion from the College. Testing will be conducted by the American Red Cross or National Nurse Aide Assessment at an approved testing center. Students who complete the theory and clinical examinations may receive a California State License to practice as a Certified Nurse Assistant.
CCMA (Certified Clinical Medical Assistant)
A Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) is a versatile healthcare professional who performs clinical tasks in various medical settings, including doctor’s offices, clinics, and hospitals. CCMAs are essential to the smooth operation of a healthcare facility ensuring efficient patient care.
Our CCMA program provides comprehensive training, equipping you with the diverse skills needed for a successful career in clinical medical assisting. You’ll gain expertise in (not all listed):
- Clinical Procedures: Assisting physicians with patient examinations, taking medical histories, preparing patients for procedures, and performing basic laboratory tests.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measuring and recording temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Medication Administration: Preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician, including injections.
- Electrocardiography (ECG/EKG): Performing basic electrocardiograms.
- Basic Medical Knowledge: Gaining foundational understanding of human anatomy, common medical conditions, and basic pharmacology.
Program Duration
Our comprehensive CCMA program can typically be completed in 300 Hours.
(160 Theory & 140 Hours coordinated externship)
Certification Obtained
Upon completing the program, the students acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to help a licensed physician in a medical office. The students may receive a certificate of completion from College. Testing will be conducted by the National Health Career Association (NHA) and National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). Also, Students may be eligible for testing conducted by the California Certifying Board of Medical Assistants (CCBMA). Students who complete the testing may receive a National Health Career Association, California Certifying Board of Medical Assistants, and/or National Center for Competency Testing Certificate.
