This 160-hour certification program is designed to prepare the student for the California State Certification to become a Certified Nurse Assistant. Preparation includes classroom instruction and supervised clinical training within the California State Department of Public Health Services guidelines. Theory classes may be held in the classroom setting, and clinical hours may be at state-approved care facilities or laboratories.
Admission Requirements:
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Must possess a valid California ID and Social Security Number
- Must be able to read and write English at the 7th-grade level or higher
- Successful with the assessment test and interview
- Physical exam and Negative TB skin tests or negative chest X-Ray result
- Must pass the fingerprinting and complete the live scan
- A completed HS 283B application form
- Proof of Basic English, Basic Mathematics, and Basic Computer Skills (can be challenged)
- Proof of Professional Liability Insurance and Personal Medical Insurance

Fees: $2000 ($200 Non-Refundable Registration Plus $1800 Tuition)

Graduation Requirements:
- Successful completion of 160 hours of training as per the state-approved curriculum
- Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED First Aid, or Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
Certification: Upon completing the program, the students acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to provide services to residents in the care facilities. The students may receive a certificate of completion from the College. Testing will be conducted by the American Red Cross or National Nurse Aide Assessment at an approved testing center. Students who complete the theory and clinical examinations may receive a California State License to practice as a Certified Nurse Assistant.
