This 160-hour certification program is designed to prepare students for the California State Certification to become a Certified Nurse Assistant.

Preparation includes rigorous classroom instruction and supervised clinical training within the California State Department of Public Health Services guidelines. Theory classes are held in our state-of-the-art classrooms, while clinical hours are completed at state-approved care facilities.

Admission Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Valid California ID and Social Security Number
  • English proficiency (7th-grade level or higher)
  • Pass assessment test and interview
  • Negative TB skin test or chest X-Ray & Physical Exam
  • Live Scan fingerprinting clearance
  • Completed HS 283B application form
  • Proof of Professional Liability & Medical Insurance

Certification & Career Outlook

Upon completing the 160-hour state-approved curriculum and passing the Adult/Pediatric CPR (BLS) training, students will be eligible for state testing.

  • Testing Authority: American Red Cross or National Nurse Aide Assessment (NNAAP).
  • Outcome: California State License to practice as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA).
  • Career Path: Skilled Nursing Facilities, Hospitals, Rehabilitation Centers.
